T Family

My good friend Lisa commissioned me to do some portraits of her darling kiddos.  She really liked some images of R in our bed that she had seen (more on that later), so we did a similar concept with her daughter, L.

We also captured some fun ones of her son B.

Can't wait to do a full family shoot this October.

Thanks for playing =).

E Family Full Session

Remember little R?  Here are some of my favorites from the full session. Her grandparents came to play as well. We went to the local park and had a rockin' good time.

Here's R and her beautiful mommy.

And with grandma...

Three generations.

How gorgeous are these guys?

Some dad love.

I got a few of the grandparents for their anniversary.  Wishing you many more years of love.

Thanks for playing with me =).

Arizona Dance Addiction

My cousin Samantha commissioned me to do the advertising images for her new dance studio, Arizona Dance Addiction.  We had such a fun time being girlie and Samantha is an AMAZING teacher.  She offers a wide range of classes from hip-hop (boys and girls!), jazz, ballet, ballroom and tap.  She also offers mom classes at the same time as the kids class so the whole family can boogie down.

The beautiful Samantha.

I Won!

I entered one of my images in a photo contest sponsored by Paradise Valley Community College and the image below won first place!  What a thrill.  The image was taken last October when we went to Boston for a friend's wedding.  I love the fact that the girl looking into the camera seems more real than the real people.

I've always loved street photography, so being in a big city was a great opportunity to play around.  Here are some more images from that photo walk.

Another E Family--Presession

Here are some images from a pre-session I did.  I brought my camera along to help E get comfortable.  She showed me the full range of her wonderful personality.

Grandma was in town so we were able to capture some with her as well.

What's great about these pre-sessions is that they provide an extra mini-shoot from which to choose.  R's mom chose these four as a grouping of 16x16s for an entry way wall.  What a great idea.  The one of R and the frog gets me every time I see it.  I love how the lines of their mouths echo one another.

More to come from the full shoot.

Thanks so much for playing with me =).

New River Elementary School Meet the Teacher Night

Being a former teacher, I'm always looking for ways to support schools in my community.  This past Thursday M and I had the opportunity to participate in the back-to-school night at a local Elementary school.  I am proud to be a business member of the New River PTA and I look forward to a fun partnership.  I have already donated boxes of my classroom books and plan on contributing to fundraisers and events throughout the year.  Thank you New River for allowing me to be a part of your family.

The E Family

Earlier this summer I had the opportunity to work with Barb and her wonderful family.  I first met her last summer.  Here's her darling A.

Then this year we did a full family session.  I went to their house for a pre-session consultation. These sessions are great because they give us the opportunity to plan out what we want for the full session.  I often bring my camera with me to these sessions, which gives the kids a chance to become comfortable in front of the camera.  Little A warmed up to me right away...

Her brother N was a bit nervous at first but once we got on his favorite subject, he was good to go.

Then we had our full session.  We had such a great time playing in the tree house and jumping on the bed.

Thanks so much for playing with me.  I had such a great time.
