Sneak Peak - McN Family

What a wonderful way to spend the last day of the year.  I had such fun with these parents-to-be.  They were a blast and totally up for anything.  Their excitement for the session and for their little man shines through in each shot.  I seriously have no words...

Purely angelic...

Thank you so much for choosing me to capture this special time in your lives.  It is clear that your son is going to be so very adored.

Sneak Peak - K Family

This weekend I got to spend some more time with little L and his wonderful family.  L is eight weeks old and just so handsome.  At our planning session we came up with some ideas that we were really excited about trying.  And the family was so kind and welcoming to me.

Everyone was in town for his first Christmas.  Here he is with four generations.  What an honor to be able to capture these relationships.

L's hand holding his great grandma's.

And some sweet ones with mom and dad.

L's mom Misty is a wonderful seamstress and made all the bedding and window treatments in L's cowboy themed room.  It was clear the love and excitement she had while she was waiting for him to arrive.

And some pure close ups of this little man.

L's dad is a singer.  Here he his singing his heart out.

Thanks so much for playing with me.  I had a wonderful time and can't wait to see you all again.

K Family

This morning I had the absolute pleasure to meet this little man, Mister L.  We'll be doing a full session this weekend, but mom and I wanted to do a little planning/location scouting today.  Of course I brought my camera.  And when there's a camera and a beautiful baby, I must. take. pictures.  I'm so glad I did.  I can't wait for the full session.  Hold on to your hats people because there's going to be four, that's right, four generations.  So that combined with a house full of wonderful handmade personal touches is going to make for a rockin' good time.

A sweet one with their two "kids."

Nothing better than a sleeping baby.

Can you tell how much this little man is loved?

And L's beautiful Mama.

Stay tuned everyone...

More Albums

All my shoots for Christmas cards are done (thank you everyone, I had a great time) and so I've been spending my time making albums.  It's such a great way to have a record of all the images from a shoot.  What a wonderful keepsake.

Here are some pages from the B family's album.  These are all full page spreads for a 9x9 album.  That's 18 inches of awesomeness!

Thanks for playing with me =)

Albums!

I know things have been a bit quiet on the blogging front these days.  It's because I've been a busy bee behind the computer screen building some SWEET albums.  I'm often asked if families can have copies of their images on CD.  This is a great question because there are usually so many great pictures that it's hard to choose which ones to print.  What I usually suggest is having an album made.  This offers many benefits.  I bought the CD of my wedding but it just collects dust on a shelf in the hubby's office.  But the album, the album we look at.  We share it with R and she gets to see all the pictures.  And I know that when her children's children want to see pictures, they will be readily available, no concern about technology's changes.  R also loves to look at the albums we had made of her first three years.  Especially when M was born, it was fun for her to go back and see what she looked like.  Fun for us too =).

So here are some sample pages of an album I made for the C family.  There are so many different ways to customize these albums.  The C family chose a black and white theme, with the left side having a white background and the right side having a black background.  It is a really cool mix of classic and contemporary styles.

And the facing right side...

An awesome full page spread...

And here's another left side...
 And the facing right side...

I so can't wait to see how these come out.  It was such a great idea that I've ordered a sample copy for the studio too so I can keep one all for myself =).

Hope everyone is staying warm and having a joyful holiday season.

Sneak Peak - R family Maternity

This is one of my absolute bestest friends.  If she looks familiar, she and her hubby helped me out with my shoot for Paciugo.  Her little one is due mid-December.  They decided not to find out if they were having a boy or a girl and it's driving me absolutely bonkers.  Doesn't she know that it's all about me?  Right now she's getting both M and R's hand-me-downs.  Oh well, it's her garage that's filling up =).  It was such an absolute pleasure to do this session.  It's so clear the pure love they have for each other.  And the little one, be it boy or girl, is only going to add to that love.  I can't wait to me the bambino.  I love you guys.
